Berryville Real Estate

Berryville is a truly charming historic town in Clarke County Virginia. The Downtown district features several streets of quaint shops suffused with character. The people of Berryville are dedicated to preserving the small community culture of the place and you’ll often hear them refer to it as a “Modern day Mayberry”. Enter any shop in Berryville and the proprietor will be glad to answer your questions about local haunts. Here are just a few of the shops located downtown:

The Barns of Rose Hill – A Non-Profit Venue dedicated to performing, literary, and visual arts programs in the community through rotating exhibits of art and a variety of performances, films, classes and workshops.

My Neighbor and Me – a fair trade shop dedicated to sourcing goods from workers who were paid a fair wage to produce them. They have exceptional baskets and a vast array of teas and handmade items.

Firehouse Gallery – a non-profit shop displaying items made by local artists and craftsmen. From hand salve & Vanilla Maple Syrup to decorative items for your home.

The Berryville Grille – Built in the 1800’s the Berryville Grille features hometown comfort food & a family friendly atmosphere. I hear their bread pudding & beignets are legendary.

Cordial Coffee – Fabulous coffee shop with iced, hot, nitro and tea as well as amazing waffles and seasonal varieties including Cinnamon Roll or Gingerbread.

Modern Mercantile – A fabulous shop featuring scarves, hats, home decor, jewelry,  and gifts for all ages.

PH Miller Studios – Mr. Miller is a skilled artisan. Mr. Miller makes and restores hand-carved wood frames and furnishings. If you get a chance stop by and see what he’s working on. I am always amazed to see his carvings come to life!

Branching out from downtown you’ll find quaint historic homes from Victorians, Bungalow’s & Cape Cods to more modern Colonial style homes in newer neighborhoods like Apple Valley, Battlefield Estates, Berryville Glen and The Hermitage. Within 10 minutes from when you drove into town, you can be in some of the most beautiful farmland the Shenandoah Valley has to offer.
